JOSEPH SEHER
Joseph Seher is a business generalist with over thirty-five years of experience in diverse manufacturing, engineering, and service operations. During this period, he managed both large, multi-division companies, and smaller companies. He has led transactions of public mergers, initial public offerings, strategic acquisitions, and financially distressed firms.
After purchasing NACO, Inc., a severely distressed operation serving the rail industry, Joe focused the organization on technology-based product strategies and diversified into new markets. NACO was successful in expanding its business from a U.S. operation to doing business in thirty-nine countries. Total sales grew more than 700 percent and a ratio of debt to EBITDA of less than two to one.
Previously, Mr. Seher was Director of Corporate Development at Atcor, Inc., a small tubing company, and was responsible for all marketing and acquisitions analysis. Earlier, at A. T. Kearney Management Consulting, Joe worked with companies in a variety of industries, ranging from small family-owned companies up to Fortune 500 firms. Joe was an Instructor while pursuing his doctorate at Harvard Business School and was also an Assistant Professor at Northeastern University Business School in Boston.
Recently, Mr. Seher was in charge of two small metal products companies, moving them into agile manufacturing practices, coupling CRM with next-day delivery, and developing Latin American business partners to broaden product lines.
